Syntonics is also called optometric phototherapy. It is a branch of ocular science that deals with selected light frequencies through your eyes. It has been used in optometry for over 70 years to treat a myriad of visual dysfunctions. These dysfunctions include strabismus, amblyopia, convergence problems, vision related learning disorders and traumatic brain injuries.
Sytonics improves vision problems by balancing the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. The sympathetic nervous system is stimulated by the yellow, orange and red ends of the spectrum and the parasympathetic is stimulated by the blue, indigo and violet end. Green will stimulate both systems equally.
Visual dysfunctions can be related to the eyes and the part of the brain that process what you see. The theory behind Syntonics is that by applying certain frequencies of light through the eyes, one can restore balance within the brain and directly affect the source of certain visual dysfunctions.
